Virtual Information Session: Call for AU-EU Collaborative Research and Innovation Projects on Renewable Energy

The DSI and SANEDI invites you to an information session on the call for proposal on the Long-term Europe Africa Partnership on Renewable Energy (LEAP-RE) programme.

A virtual information session will take place on 24 February, 10:00-14:00 SAST, to provide prospective call applicants with the necessary guidelines in preparing their project proposals. In addition, the information session aims to gather researchers, representatives from the private and public sector, and non-governmental organisations from around the continent and Europe to network and collaborate with each other on research and innovation activities focusing on the following areas:

  1. Mapping joint research and innovation actions for future: Renewable Energy Sources development.
  2. End-of-life and second-life management and environmental impact of renewable energy components.
  3. Smart stand-alone systems.
  4. Smart grid (different scale) for off grid application.
  5. Processes and appliances for productive uses.
  6. Innovative solutions for priority domestic uses (clean cooking and cold chain).

We kindly request that you complete the attached form, indicating which Multi-annual Roadmap (MARs) your institution is interested in submitting a proposal for, and return the form to the addresses below by 23 February 2021.

The connection details will be shared ahead of the session. We encourage participants to connect 15mins before the session starts, to resolve any connection issues that may occur before the start.
