As a Eureka Cluster, SMART is grounded in Europe and open to worldwide participants from the Eureka Network.
Manufacturing is a vital sector worldwide, fundamental for the development towards competitive sustainable globalisation. Advanced manufacturing is a focal point in most political agendas, serving as a key enabler that will drive society towards higher industrial competitiveness, sustainable growth, and job creation.
SMART’s mission is to boost the competitiveness, growth, and attractiveness of the discrete manufacturing industries through the promotion of R&D&I within an open community of industrial organisations, including large industries, SMEs, associations, RTOs, and academia.
SMART has opened a call for organisations collaborating internationally on the R&D of advanced manufacturing projects. By applying and participating, your organisation can access national public funding for your R&D project.

CALL INFORMATION
ESASTAP is a collaboration between the Department of Science and Innovation, partnering member states and the European Commission. The programme’s main objective is to strengthen ties within the field of science, technology and innovation. Funding for projects, mainly sourced from both the Department of Science and Innovation of the Republic of South Africa and the European Commission.
