Overview

Established in 2021, the Global Health European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership 3 (Global Health EDCTP3) Joint Undertaking works deliver new solutions to reduce the burden of infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa and to strengthen research capacities to prepare and respond to re-emerging infectious diseases.

Global Health EDCTP3 is a partnership between the European Commission, representing the European Union, and the EDCTP Association, representing the governments of European and sub-Saharan African countries participating in the partnership.

Kindly note, DSI need to enter into contracts with the applicant’s institution for all our funding instruments established to support SA’s participation in the European Union funded programmes. As a result, it may take up to a month to get a response and receive a contract from us. It is important for applicants to submit applications two months before the planned activity to have enough time to process and arrange payment.

Funding

Funding is available for those wishing to participate in the clinical trials partnership.
